Glow-in-the-Dark Bowling in Espoo and Vantaa
During autumn break, BowlCircus offers fun activities for the whole family at Flamingo and Sello! Flamingo has 20 and Sello has 16 glow-in-the-dark bowling lanes where you can enjoy the autumn break atmosphere with lights, music, and strikes. No experience needed, just bring a cheerful attitude. Glow bowling is suitable for everyone regardless of age or skill level, and it's a perfect way to spend autumn break together with the family. Five-Day Cricket Camp by Playbox
The five-day cricket camp at Playbox offers a full dose of exercise, learning, and team spirit in a safe and professional environment. The daily program includes soft-ball exercises for beginners, hard-ball training for more advanced players, and bowling machine sessions. The program also features quiz competitions, daily matches, and outdoor excursions weather permitting. Nets, bowling machines, gym and plenty of space to play.

Annantalo Autumn Break
Annantalo transforms into a colorful adventure center during autumn break week: there will be music, visual arts, theater, movies, and of course the award-winning AnnanHouse Disco. The littlest family members will be delighted by "Bright spots & Eyecatchers – Colorful Adventures in Time" (suitable for ages 3+), and the show's creators will also lead short art courses for elementary school-aged children during the break week. On Saturday, October 11, 1:00–3:30 PM, the hilarious Annantalo Grand Prix will be held (bring your own toy car or borrow from the house collection), and the same day you can try out the fashion room, for example. The movie selection includes family animations (Coco, Elemental, My Neighbor Totoro, Moana) and there's a special Naperokino for the very little ones. Most of the program is free of charge. Aalto University Junior Water Workshop for Children
Aalto University Junior's water workshop introduces children to exploring the wonders of water purification through fun experiments and hands-on activities: what all can end up in dirty water and how to make it clear and drinkable again. The workshop is designed for 5-10 year olds (preschoolers together with a parent) and is excellent for curious little researchers who love to dive into hands-on activities.
No advance registration required, but spaces are limited. Queue numbers will be distributed to those waiting so the wait doesn't take all day (you can use the waiting time for Oodi library offerings or the café). Read more here.

Pippi Longstocking 80 Years Family Day
Lippulaiva Library celebrates Astrid Lindgren's fairy tale character during autumn break week as Pippi Longstocking turns 80! During the family day, you can explore Pippi's book exhibition and craft your own birthday cards in two card workshops (1:00–2:00 PM and 3:00–4:00 PM). The day's highlight is Pippi's birthday reception at 2:00 PM and 4:00 PM, when congratulatory songs will be sung together with Tatu and Patu, and those who wish can give Pippi their own card. The first 50 visitors per reception get juice and gingerbread cookies, so it's worth arriving on time! Read more here.

Autumn Break Week Soap Workshop for Ages 9-13
In the autumn break soap workshop, you can conjure up your own fragrant and colorful soaps, completely ecologically! In the workshop, soap base is melted in a water bath, colored with natural dyes, and poured into molds to create beautiful bars. Additionally, you'll learn to make your own ecological washing sponge using the traditional Japanese TAWASHI technique. The instructor is Chloé Mahy-Hulkko, who guides participants into the secrets of soap making in a relaxed and creative atmosphere.
The workshop is free but requires advance registration on Stoa's website. The workshop is designed for ages 9-13, making it a perfect program for slightly older vacationers who want to take home their own handmade souvenir. Read more here.

Sports Event for Children at Myllypuro Sports Mill
Autumn break's most energetic event awaits at Myllypuro Sports Mill, where elementary school children and their families can exercise and try various sports. Bouncy castle, wall climbing, apparatus gymnastics, and different ball games guarantee that energy is spent and fun continues throughout the event. The event is suitable for all children interested in sports. It's recommended to bring comfortable clothes and your own lock for the locker. Autumn Break Gelli Printing and Graphics
In Pyykkitupa's autumn break workshop, dive into the world of colors and patterns through gelli printing and monotype! Led by art instructor Laura Lehmuksen, children get to try a printing technique on soft printing plates that creates unique autumn-colored images without a printing press. High-quality gelli printing plates, rollers, stencils, and Hahnemühle papers are available, and the result is always equally surprising and magical.
The workshop is suitable for ages 5-15, and children over 10 can participate without an adult. Maximum 10 children (+ adults) can participate, so it's worth booking places in advance. Work takes place in the hall, and the adjacent play room can be used for playing or calming down. Sensory and motor skills tools are available, and no previous experience is needed. Museum Leikki Transformers Autumn Break
Museum Leikki transforms into a true paradise for Transformers fans during autumn break! From October 11-19, 2025, you can dive into the world of the "Transformers – From Toy to Legend" exhibition, hunt for hidden characters, and craft your own robots from Lego blocks, recycled materials, or paper. Orienteering and coloring stations keep little hands busy, and throughout the week there are rotating workshops where you can make, for example, your own Transformers magnet or pin (small material fee). On weekdays and weekends there's also a tattoo station where you can get an awesome fan tattoo as a souvenir. Read more here.

Crafting at Pitäjänmäki Library
Pitäjänmäki Library invites children and families to spend autumn break with creative crafting and a little movie time. On Monday, October 13 starting at 1 PM, we'll make colorful bead crafts together. Tuesday, October 14 at 3 PM features a family movie screening, and Thursday, October 16 at 11 AM we return to crafting with keychains. These relaxed activities are suitable for children of all ages, and the library provides materials on-site.
